Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Brain Thunder Labs collects, why, and what we do with it. Brain Thunder Labs is a trade name of Surge Labs LLC, an Oklahoma company at 8990 S Sheridan Rd, Suite B, Tulsa, OK 74133 ("we," "us"). It covers brainthunderlabs.com and our email and text-message programs.
The short version: we collect your email (and mobile number, only if you give it) so we can tell you when our games go live and send you the occasional free drop. We don't sell your information. You can leave any time.
What we collect
- Email address — when you join the list.
- Mobile number — only if you enter it on our form or text a keyword to our number. It's optional.
- Sign-up context — where you signed up (for example, our website or an in-person event like a Maker Faire), the date and time, and the IP address and browser type of the device used. We keep this as a record of your consent.
- Basic site usage — standard, non-identifying analytics about how the site is used (pages viewed, general region). We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites.
We do not ask for your name, address, birthday, or payment details. Brain Thunder games are sold on Amazon; Amazon handles any purchase you make there under Amazon's own privacy policy, and Amazon does not share your contact details with us.
How we use it
- To email you when a game launches, and about launch-day offers.
- To send occasional emails about new games and free drops (brain teasers, print-and-play games, small online games) when we make them.
- If you opted in to texts: to send occasional marketing text messages about launches and offers.
- To respond if you contact us.
We do not send abandoned-cart messages, order updates, or delivery notices — we don't run a checkout, so there's no cart to abandon.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number on our website form, or text a keyword (such as BOOM) to our number, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing text messages from Brain Thunder Labs at that number. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- To stop: reply STOP to any message. You'll get one final confirmation text and nothing more.
- For help: reply HELP or email team@brainthunderlabs.com.
Our full Mobile Terms of Service apply to the text program. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Who we share it with
We use Klaviyo (klaviyo.com) to store our list and send email and text messages on our behalf. Klaviyo processes your information only to provide that service to us. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare. Beyond service providers like these, we do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal information with anyone — including for advertising or "data broker" purposes. We may disclose information if required by law.
Mobile opt-in information and consent are never shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Location
We do not track your precise location and do not use location-based services. We may see the general region (city or state) associated with an IP address for analytics and fraud-prevention purposes only.
Children
Our games are for ages 7 to 100, but our mailing list is for the grown-ups. You must be 13 or older to join the list, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us their information, email team@brainthunderlabs.com and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Email: every email has an unsubscribe link. One click and you're out.
- Text: reply STOP.
- Everything: email team@brainthunderlabs.com and we'll delete your record entirely, usually within a few days.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your data, or to opt out of certain processing. Email us and we'll honor them.
Security and retention
Your information is stored with our service providers using industry-standard security. We keep it as long as you're on the list; when you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we remove it from active use.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and, for anything significant, tell the list by email.
